Christmas is just around the corner and last minute panic shopping is setting in. But fear not! We have the perfect gift!

Enhance your home and beautify your office with a special edition calendar of Chamonix trail-running lovelies, The Neverest Girls. For just 12€ (or £10) you can have a picture a month for a whole year of the girls on your wall. And the best bit? They’re wearing nothing but their running shoes and a smile.

The Neverest Girls are back with a new mission and a new charity to support. Last May they travelled to Nepal to take part in the world’s highest marathon at Everest Base Camp, raising over 16,000€ for local charity A Chacun Son Everest in the process. This time they are gearing up to tackle the Transrockies, a 120 mile (200km) stage race that takes place in Colorado. They’ll be running just shy of a marathon a day for 6 days, through forests, over mountains, across rivers, dodging bears, fighting off coyotes, outrunning lynx (hopefully not the last three, but you never know).

All this madness is to raise money for and awareness of Kennedy’s Disease, a rare form of motor neurone disease caused by a defect in the ‘X’ chromosome. The disease starts with tremors, painful cramping and uncontrollable muscle spasms. As it progresses, the motor neurons that control movement die off and lead to difficulty swallowing, respiratory problems and eventual muscle atrophy. There is no cure for the disease and treatment is limited to making sufferers more comfortable and alleviating their symptoms, while they gradually become dependent on a wheelchair and round-the-clock care. It affects mostly men and symptoms usually don’t show until between the ages of 20 and 40. As it is a relatively rare disease there is little funding for research. The Neverest Girls are aiming to raise at least 10,000€ to allow a dedicated team working at University College London to complete one year of research.

All proceeds from the calendar and the Transrockies Challenge are going towards the charity. The trip to Colorado is entirely self-funded, with the girls paying for all costs themselves, so you can be sure that every single euro raised is going directly to research into Kennedy’s Disease.

Your 12€/£10 could make a huge difference to their campaign and to the future of sufferers of Kennedy’s Disease. You can buy the calendars online from The Neverest Girls website, or contact any of the girls on Facebook to put in an order.

So, if you’re looking to treat that special someone, or just want to bring a bit of Christmas cheer into your life then look no further than The Neverest Girls 2015 Calendar - the perfect gift!
