Not everywhere closes for interseason, find out who is open throughout spring!

The lifts may have closed and the tourists gone home but Chamonix is far from being a ghost town. With a strong community of year-round residents, there has to be somewhere to keep us all fed and watered in between holiday seasons!

Business As Usual - these guys will be open throughout the interseason to fulfill your eating, drinking and partying needs:

  • Monkey - has everything you need in case of an emergency; weekly pub quiz, Half-Price Burger Monday, Taco Tuesday and ping-pong. Phew!
  • Le Jekyll - keeps the food, drink and live sports going, only closing on Mondays in May. Friday Steak Nights and Sunday Ribs are still on and they're coaxing us in early doors with 2-4-1 Happy Hours until the sun goes down on terrace, on all drinks including Pimms and Aperol.
  • Moo Bar - is closed of an evening and at weekends but they're staying open for lunch from Monday to Friday during May.
  • Elevation - same as ever, always open and ready to lead you astray...
  • Chambre Neuf - there may be no more apres-ski but the bar hasn't closed and the kitchen is still open for lunch and dinner. Check their Facebook page for occasional DJ nights and live music.
  • Les Lanchers - the bar is open throughout May from 7am to 8pm, and although the restaurant is closed for the month, they will be serving a range of light snacks and sandwiches from the bar. They will be starting to do BBQ's in June & July too.
  • Le Vert - The bar is open every day from 4pm (except for Mondays and Tuesdays) for drinks and sports on the big screen. The kitchen is now closed until summer but this Saturday 9th May they are hosting a street food fair in support of Inspire - let's eat our way to a cleaner greener Chamonix!
  • Pointe Isabelle - business as usual for bar and kitchen, no more regular music until summer but perhaps the occassional DJ or band night to keep us in the groove.
  • Bar'd Up - interseason, what interseason? Open every day with the Monday Jam Session now hosted by Juggernaut James in the absence of Rich Rat, regular live music / DJ nights, see Facebook for details.
  • Le Vagabond - open daily from 4:30pm with Happy Hours, sunny terrace and occasional BBQs. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
  • MBC - Brunch o'clock is now 11am on Fridays but still 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Opens at 4pm every other day, with the usual chilled out ambience, homebrewed beers and tasty grub.
  • Hotel Mont Blanc - the super-chic lounge bar remains open with regular live music and a tequila tasting soirée on the 14th May hosted by Patron.
  • Boogie Woogie - Chamonix's tiniest bar keeps on trucking from 4pm until 2am, serving pies and Scotch eggs every day and plat du jour from Thursday to Sunday.

Partied Out - the following establishments are taking a well earned break until the following dates:

  • La Terrasse - closed until 1st June when they'll be back with their usual live music and promo nights, as well as a brand new menu.
  • L'Impossible - closed until 13th May (inc), still replying to messages if you would like to book a table for the 14th onwards.
  • The Pub - closed until 10th June, when they'll be reopening with the usual blend of beers, banter and bikes.
  • Amnesia - closed for about 3 weeks for renovation, intriguing...

By no means a comprehensive list, but that's where you'll find us over the next few weeks! Don't forget to keep an eye on our calendar for all events this spring.
