featured in Nightlife reviews Author Katy Sunderland, Updated

It's been another busy week this week. The start of the week saw the first round of Cham's Got Talent. A new competition where locals, seasonnaires and holiday makers alike get to show off their talents. Anything goes singing, dancing, hula hoop... If it's entertaining then sign up. The aim of the

Wednesday saw the start of the Black weekend. Returning for the 4th year running, Black crows have put together a five day bonanza of fun up the hill, bands and DJ's in the square and a range of nights out around town. It kicked off on Wednesday with free ski testing up at Grand Montet, this is going
on everyday till Sunday so head up there to test some fancy skis.
Wednesday also saw an excellent ice skating disco at Podium, with everyone showing off their skating skills.

Head down to the square by the tourist information office tomorrow at 5pm, there is a stage set up and DJ's performing, plus a bar and food stand serving some very tasty raclette. I went along yesterday and it was a great atmosphere and the DJ was highly entertaining. If you still got some
energy left head to the Podium tomorrow night for another night of black crows fun and then on Sunday there is the after party down at Le Vert with a BBQ and even more DJ's.

I am sure there are a few sore heads this morning; mine included after the St Patrick's Day celebrations. I did a little tour around town, starting in the square and from there headed to O'Byrne's. Free buffet and a lovely looking green punch went down a treat and there was some great looking leprechauns about. From here it was off to Munster where as usual it was full to bursting. There was some great face painting going on and if you made it to the bar lots of Guinness on offer. From here it was a short stroll down to Le Vert to help them celebrate their birthday. They had Dreadzone Sound System in the house and a license till 4am, so I think it was a late finish for all!

Don't forget to watch the six nations finals this weekend, come on England! Enjoy the weekend.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the What's On Calendar for a full list of events over the winter season. You can also find full Bar and Restaurant listings in the Dining and Going Out section of the site.
