Le Chalet de Charamillon Restaurant, Le Tour

Mountain restaurant with a sister restaurant Le Petit Chara

The Chalet de Charamillon and the new 'Petit Chara' restaurants are located just 50m from the Charamillon gondola in Le Tour.

Enjoy lunch at Chalet Charamillon or an afternoon on the sun terrace with amazing views over the valley of Chamonix. In winter the set menus cater for all budgets and include a barilla pasta corner, a rotisserie, homemade pizzas, daily specials, buffets and much more to treat your taste buds.

For a quick break between runs, the take away offers a selection of homemade hot and cold sandwiches and tapas.

The restaurant is accessible for pedestrians (ideal for non-skiers), and offers a selection of traditional and Savoyarde dishes.

In summer they offer homemade sandwiches, salads, fruit tarts and pancakes to eat in or takeaway. with regular barbecues at the weekends.

Worth knowing

A large trampoline will be set up at the end of the terrace for the whole winter, and the necessary equipment (freestyle skis) will be provided to young riders to allow them to perform their first tricks safely.

Other activities are also planned throughout the winter.

  • "Convenient but tasty French fare on the ski slopes - For a change this fast-ish food joint on the slopes at the top of the Le Tour gondola is quite a pleasure to stop by either during the day for a drinks break or for lunch. The chalet serves both regular fast food as well as having a pasta counter but the large terrace outside is what is the draw on a sunny day.Food is inexpensive but well cooked and staff are friendly almost unusually. Certainly a stop to revisit on future ski trips." - Trip Advisor
  • "This is our favourite place to stop for lunch when enjoying the majestic powder in Le Tour. The quality of the food which features typical hearty Savoyard cuisine with a contemporary twist is undoubtedly the highest in this little homey chalet on the slopes. They also have a great selection of Eaus De Vie." - Trip Advisor
  • "We visited as a family; 3 adults and 2 children. The food was exceptionally good; large portions, good ingredients, well cooked, well presented and reasonably priced (c. €10-20 for a main). Service was excellent." - Trip Advisor
