The Tour du Mont Blanc Rally 2014
The annual classic car tour in the Alps
Each year around this time Chamonix is inundated with classic cars taking part in the Tour du Mont Blanc Rally. It's an opportunity for classic car owners to show off their pride and joy, and then drive the 400km circuit throught the Savoie region, the Aosta Valley and the Valais in Switzerland.
Cars must be collectors pieces or over 25 years to take part, and there's always some really stunning cars to ogle - if that's what floats your boat (it definitely floats ours! :-)
The Tour itself is more of a sedentary drive in the cars than an actual race, and always draws big crowds to look at the cars in the Place du Mont Blanc and all the stop-off points around the circuit.
