Featured in:

Chamonix Aventure is a mountain and ski adventure company based in the Chamonix valley. They offer the best guiding services and a great choice of skiing and mountaineering programs in the Alps, from Chamonix to Monte Rosa,  Switzerland, Austria and many other destinations like Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Norway and Népal.

They provide challenging days in the high mountains, from daily courses to weekends and longer stays, as well as private guiding for individuals and groups. Their are very flexible and can tailor-make programmes just for you.

Winter Programme
In winter they offer Free-riding and Heli-skiing with a guide in Italy - Courmayeur or Monte Rosa, and in Swiss Valais. There are lots of different itineraries to choose from including couloirs and steep slopes to improve your ski technic. Heli-skiing takes place from December to May.

From Christmas to the beginning of May, you can discover the fantastic off piste skiing that the Mont Blanc range has to offer, with some of the longest vertical drops imaginable, often departing directly from the cable car stations. There are so many routes to choose from, with runs for every level of ability. Try the Grands Montets & Argentière glacier, the Pas de chèvre, the Balme and the couloirs des Posettes, the Aiguille du Midi, the renowned Vallée Blanche and the Envers du Plan. You can also pop across to Italy and try out runs starting from Entrèves and Courmayeur.

If you're looking for something a bit more off the beaten track, then Chamonix Aventure also offer a wide range of ski-touring itineraries and courses. You can start off as a beginner or enjoy one of the 3-7 day all inclusive packages. Tours include skiing the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt or the Grand Paradiso which takes in a 4,000m peak.

Mont Blanc, the highest peak in western Europe, is without a doubt one of the most popular mountains in the world and every year many mountaineers try to attempt this famous peak. The ascent is a relatively simple snow route, but requires a high level of physical fitness for the ascent which is at high altitude, and takes a long time - on summit day the ascent and descent requires 9 to 11 hours of continuous effort. Minimum skills of walking on ice with crampons and using an ice axe are required. Chamonix Aventure recommend you undertake a 5 day overall programme, with 3 days of preparation, to practise the skills you'll need to summit and to acclimatise in a mountain hut for 2 nights before attempting the final leg of the ascent.

Summer Programme
In summer they offer guided hikes in and around the Chamonix Valley, ranging from short walks to those lasting 5, 7 or 11 days including the Haute Route over to Zermatt, and the Tour du Mont Blanc. You can also experience glacier walks on the Valley Blanche and the Mer de Glace (both 3 day trips) or a 6 day Discovery of the Mont Blanc Massif. Most of these trips are run between mid June and September.

Why not tackle the 4,000m peaks with trips from 2-4 days long? For example the ascent of Grand Paradiso (4,060m) is not too difficult with the exception of an aerial edge at the end and the top, which gives you a unique view of the Alps, Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn to the Oisans and the Southern Alps. This trip take 3 days and runs each weekend in June to September.

Or if Mont Blanc is on your agenda, Chamonix Aventure offer three different guided experiences; The first is a 5 day acclimitisation and skills training session, learning the basics of climbing, walking on glaciers and mountaineering, an ideal starting point for beginners. The second is also 5 days long, starting with an ascent of the Grand Paradiso Massif for 3 days in preparation for 2 days ascent on Mont Blanc. This runs every week from June to September.

Lastly is their "In the footsteps of the Pioneers" ascent of Mont Blanc, which doesn't involve any lift access and offers you a choice of 3 routes up to the roof of Europe at 4,810m! These trips can take 5-6 days and run every week from June to September.
