by Chamonix Sport Aventure featured in Mountain guides

Trust this local team of High Mountain Guides (UIAGM), Ski and Snowboard Instructors, all of whom have the highest level of state qualifications.

Chamonix has some of the most famous off-piste skiing/snowboarding in Europe, if not the world. You may think powder snow and off-piste is only for experts but if you have always wanted to try skiing in powder or off-piste, their team of Mountain Guides who are also Ski-Snowboard Instructors can teach you the techniques whilst taking care of your safety to ensure you enjoy the Chamonix mountains in winter as never before.

Their high mountain guides can guide you through some spectacular backcountry skiing, including the Vallee Blanche glacier, a 23km downhill including 19km of glacier with 2800m of vertical descent. You can also receive training in avalanche awareness and mountaineering.

They will always ensure you ski/snowboard the right slope at the right time according to your skill and ability. If you are more experienced and looking to try more challenging off-piste action you must try the Grand Montets from the top lift. Ski on glaciers, discover another way of skiing in a different setting, get away from the piste in utmost security and if you need, your guide will offer professional coaching and advice to improve your skills.

"Wake up early, the first tracks might be yours... magic..."

Skiers or Snowboarders must be able to comfortably ski red pistes, control their speed, sideslip, ski at a safe speed and follow in tracks. Having an off-piste skiing experience is better, but your Mountain Guide-Ski Instructor can coach you along the route to maximise your enjoyment and enable you to improve your skills!

All their team are fluent in English and French to ensure effective communication and understanding when high up on the mountain.

Who should go

Ideal for keen mountaineers and advanced skiers who want to explore the peaks of the Chamonix Valley or those who want to learn the basics in avalanche awareness training or simply enjoy Chamonix from the sky.

  • "Guided off-piste down Vallee Blanche - Fantastic day with a great guide. Frank was very informative explaining how the glacier had been eroding over time with visual example. A little ski tuition with excellent little tips on how to improve out off-piste skiing technique. My son and I had a great day and plan to return next year." - Trip Advisor
  • "Great Guiding Experience - Booked Frank for 5 days of guiding and had hoped to ski the Vallee Blanche. Alas weather was not too friendly the first few days but Frank was fantastic and took those who wanted ski out. Boys did Courmayeur one day when Chamonix had awful weather and they loved it. Skiied Glacier Du Rognon which was super special Franks patience and instruction got me down and huge achievement having never been off piste before. He also booked us at great restaurants on the mountains for lunch every day which were delicious. Highly recommend Chamonix Sport Aventure See you next time Frank." - Trip Advisor
