Freeride, or off-piste, skiing and snowboarding are as popular as ever in the Chamonix valley with some of the ESF instructors having taken part in the prestigious Freeride World Tour which visits Chamonix each year.
There are numerous freeride opportunities to be enjoyed at Grand Montets, so why not book a mountain guide to show you the very best. These guides will also take you down the famous Vallee Blanche, one of the longest freeride runs in Europe, which starts at the summit of the Aiguille du Midi (3842m) and brings you all the way back into Chamonix town along a 23km stretch of off-piste, glacial skiing.
You can also discover the valley on snowshoes daily with ESF Argentiere. They can organise an evening excursion, including dinner in Savoyard restaurant.
