Chamonix Snow Report: 23 March 2004

featured in Snow report Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

The weather has been fairly miserable today and temperatures have dropped which is good for the conditions overall. The snow has refrozen though this means it is a little hard going on the bumps. There is fresh snow on top of the areas - the top of the Grand Montet is good.

The forecast is for more of the same tomorrow with sunshine returning in the afternoon.

A few more centimetres of snow have been falling - nothing spectacular but a bit extra nonetheless.

It is no longer possible to ski back to the town.

Can't imagine there is any cross-country left, but the according to official sources there is.

The PanoChamCam is now fully operational...we have some great images now available on the site webcams index.
