Chamonix Snow Report: 25th February 2004

featured in Snow report Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

Generally snow conditions are good in most places. The 'mini-dump' of the other day brought some light refreshment but was not hugely deep. It was/is possible to put some nice tracks down but you have to be willing to put up with being thrown around like a bucking bronco on the hard base beneath whilst doing so.

All the main ski areas are in good shape, with good coverage. Le Tour is getting a little thin towards the bottoms of the main area.

More snow is forecast from tomorrow.

It is no longer possible to ski back to the town (unless you want rough ride) but nevermind. There are still 16km of cross-country skiing open.

The PanoChamCam is now fully operational...we have some great images now available on the site webcams index. We have a few more on their way....

We'll keep you updated - sign up for the Dump Alert! We only let you know about significant falls and you can unsubscribe at any time.
