Chamonix Snow Report: 28th December 2003
A quick update. I went up skiing with some friends of mine on the Brevent this afternoon. We had a bit of a late start after a 'braserade' at the Chez Nous restaurant a few enjoyable drinks last night. We made it up just in time to watch the cloud coming over and start throwing snow at us.
Nonetheless we had a few enjoyable runs. The snow on the pistes is firm but fine, although thin/icy patches are common and rocks can be strewn around the place. The new snow will help this a lot - lets hope it continues for a while. The forecast is for changeable conditions but not for lots of snow - though no one is entirely certain what will happen over the next week.
