Grands Montets delays opening. Snow forecast but too late for an early opening
In a hopeful attempt to open the resort at the start of December, the Compagnie du Mont Blanc has delayed the announcement but confirmation has now come in: the Grands Montets ski area will not be open this weekend the 3rd of December.
It may come as a surprise and a disappointment to some but it's still November (just!) and we have plenty of time before all the lifts in Chamonix open their doors.
The CMB are hoping to have the Grands Montets open for the 10th as there is snow now on the forecast and the recent temperature inversion should be blown away, allowing the snow canons to get back into action.
So for now put on your favourite powder movie and wait for the snow to arrive..
