Top bin fun at Grands Montets
A sunny break amid unsettled weather
Up at Grands Montets again, it was surprisingly tracked given how much precipitation we had the previous day. Skiing a few laps lower down we managed to get on an 11:15 bin to see what the top was like.
We found great cold snow, everything was fairly tracked out but it still soft. We're expecting a lot more snow over the next few days, so things should stay pretty wintery around the ski areas.
Avalanche risk was 4/5 which is high. With changing temperatures and continuing precipitation it is likely to remain high. Make sure you check the latest bulletin before venturing off-piste and if in any doubt about routes, conditions or your abilities hiring a guide is the safest way to enjoy the mountains.
