Mont Blanc Serac Fall, Two Missing

A serac fall has occurred on the Mont Blanc Massif near the Charpoua moraine, witnesses claim to have seen two alpinists swept away in the ice fall.

The serac fall happened on Thursday 31st of July, the search team were forced to call off their search in the afternoon for victims due to the closing in of the weather. The search is expected to continue today.

*Update 4th August* Sadly the bodies of the two missing mountaineers - identified as Belgian Nationals - have been recovered by mountain rescue teams.
