Freeride World Tour Chamonix 2016

The second stop on the tour - latest news & updates

featured in News & reviews Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

The Freeride World Tour is back in Chamonix this weekend after an action packed first leg in Andorra. For those of you not familiar with this event, it's renowned for showcasing "The Best Riders on the Best Mountains in the Ultimate Freeride Competition" bringing pro-skiers and snowboarders from all over the globe to compete for the world title.

Organisers have announced this morning that the event will be extended from 5th to 13th February as current weather conditions (it's raining heavily here this morning) will affect the competition venue.

The exact location of the competition is as yet undecided (it should be on either the Hotel face at Brevent or the Aiguille Pourrie at Flegere) but a further announcement will be made later today.

We'll be updating this article with the latest news from the event, so bookmark it and check back in over the course of the week. You can also follow updates from our photographers in our facebook album.
