Opening of Attractions at the Aiguille du Midi Delayed Until the End of June

featured in News & reviews Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

Due to bad weather and the difficulties undertaking work at the top of the Aiguille du Midi, it's been announced today that the summit terrace, the 2 new lifts to the top of the Aiguille & therefore the Step into the Void re-opening will be delayed until 26th June 2015.

Work commenced last year to replace one lift to the summit with two, as well as works being done to the summit terrace.

It was originally thought to have only needed 6 months to complete the various projects, but mother nature has put a small spanner in the works and now you won't be able to enjoy the Step into the Void until late June this year.

Of course you can still visit the Aiguille du Midi and marvel at the spectacular views from the various other terraces, dine in the restaurants and take snaps of Mont Blanc.

Compagnie du Mont Blanc will keep us posted as the work continues. Watch this space.
