Chamonix Snow Report: 19th February 2004

featured in Snow report Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

There has been some frozen water vapour falling and drifting around the place, bring a few centimetres of new snow around the mountains, but this is no 'dump'. The weather is generally very grey, although the sun is due back tomorrow.

Apart from the half-term crowds skiing is of the same as recent, firm, with good coverage. Snow is forecast for on and around the weekend.

It is no longer possible to ski back to the town (unless you want rough ride) but nevermind.

The PanoChamCam is now fully operational...we have some great images now available on the site webcams index. We have a few more on their way....

We'll keep you updated - sign up for the Dump Alert! We only let you know about significant falls and you can unsubscribe at any time.
