This quaint little restaurant is nestled on the hill over the back of the Les Houches ski area, on the way down to Saint Gervais. It's small and cosy and has an outside terrace, or plenty of seating inside around the fire for those cold winter days.
If you make a visit be sure to book ahead for their amazing Argentinian beef and BBQ (which is available all year)... it's really something special! And if you ask nicely they may let you camp over for the night in their field in summer.
They speak Spanish (the Argentinian connection), French & English and the service is really good. You'll need to be in a party of 6 or more to reserve the BBQ, which is only available in July & August and by reservation only.
In the winter, if you happen to pass by without a reservation, then the lovely staff will prepare you a salad, some local specialities or an omelette, but we really recommend you book in advance as their salads are some of the best we've eaten in a long while, and the steaks we had were cooked to perfection!
You can access the restaurant on skis in winter, or by mountain bike or on foot in the summer. If you've got a 4x4 you can drive right up to it, but other vehicles will have to stay down in the parking area about 25 minutes walk down the hill. Please note that if you are coming by 4x4 in summer you must do so before 09:00 or after 18:00 to avoid bumping into too many walkers, and the shortest walk is from the parking area on the St Gervais side of the mountain.
Open in the winter season for lunch, and in summer and winter for dinner by reservation only.
