AIARE Avalanche training, French course dates
Mountain tracks has announced it will be hosting a number of AIARE level 1 Avalanche Courses (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) in France over the coming season.
Run over two and a half days the course covers a variety of topics and is ideal as a first course for those new to avalanche terrain, and excellent as a refresher course for anyone who has some experience but would like a “tune up”.
Training is provided by IFMGA mountain guides who as well as being experts on backcountry travel and safety are also passionate skiers and mountaineers.
For anyone planning to ski, board or tour off-piste, this course is essential for recognising and avoiding the avalanche hazard and for minimising the risk of accidents. Upon completion of the course everyone receives the AIARE Level 1 Certificate of Training.
