Construction underway for the World Climbing Championships
Construction workers are currently hard at work building the framework for the climbing wall on which the worlds best climbers will battle against each other in 3 weeks time. For the 8th year running, the International Climbing Festival is returning to Chamonix from 8th - 13th July. Climbers will compete for the title of French Champion for difficulty and then World Champion for speed and difficulty.
The competition will be held at the running track (opposite the ice skating rink) and will culminate in a presentation ceremony for the champions and a firework display on the 13th.
