Pas de Chevre to be Avoided

Despite the heat which has destabilised large areas of moraine, resulting in frequent rock falls, inexperienced amateurs are being drawn to the Pas de Chèvre; an off-piste itinerary, which is accessed from the summit of Les Grands Montets and exits onto La Mer de Glace. At present, skiers should be dissuaded from attempting the route; a risky undertaking in the current spring conditions.
