Moo Bar Restaurant Review

Tasty International Dishes with a Swedish Touch

featured in Restaurant reviews Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

It's always a good sign when you stop off somewhere for lunch that it's busy. The down side is that you might have to wait a little bit for a seat, but thankfully not today!

One of my favourite spots for a drink after work is Moo Bar, and I've spent a few evenings in the restaurant and the bar, but not managed yet to make it there for lunch.. until today. The main restaurant was quite busy, but there's lots of seating around the bar and along the front window so you're pretty much guaranteed to find a spot to eat.

On the menu today was a delicious ravioli filled with ricotta & spinach, with a smoked paprika sauce (my choice) and a veal steak hache with pressed potatoes and green beans (my friends choice). Another friend that we bumped into was tucking into the salmon, which looked pretty good too. The great thing about lunch here, aside from the friendly, fast service, is the salad bar that you can top up from as much as you like. You'll find it just as you go into the main restaurant on the right behind the bar.

They have a selection of cheese, salad stuff, beans and bread a plenty, so if you've not already filled up on your main then you can top up with the extras. My ravioli was plenty filling enough, so I resisted the urge for extra carbs. The lunch menu varies a lot so it's good to check in from time to time & see what they're offering, but if you're coming here in the evening I definitely recommend the spicy pulled pork burger & homemade fries.. delicious!

Since we were both on a short time scale, with didn't even look at the dessert menu or have a coffee, so the total bill was only 21 euros for the both of us - really good value. Note to self - must make a note to pop back in a few weeks and see what else is on the menu :-)
