Aiguille du Midi reopens December 22nd 2018
All the Chamonix ski areas will be open this weekend
The Compagnie du Mont Blanc has just announced that the Aiguille du Midi cable car, which has been closed since last September, will reopen on Saturday, December 22nd 2018.
The only ski area in the Chamonix Valley that did not open last weekend, the Domaine de Balme (Le Tour & Vallorcine), will also welcome the first skiers and snowboarders on Saturday.
This announcement comes just as snow is falling heavily in Chamonix. It looks like we are in for a very white Christmas, with all of the ski areas and tourist attractions in the Chamonix Valley open, including the legendary Aiguille du Midi.
