Kilian Jornet confirms Mont Blanc Marathon 2017 participation
Current record holder returns to Chamonix at the end of this month
Kilian Jornet has confirmed to local paper Le Dauphine, that he will be taking part in this year's Marathon du Mont Blanc.
The trail running and mountaineering superstar has recently completed two Everest summits without oxygen in the space of a week, and last week ran a half marathon with 1600m vertical in just 1 hour 30 minutes in Norway.
To say that his trail running and mountaineering achievements are impressive is a bit of an understatement, and we're glad he's going to be back in Chamonix on 25th June to run the Marathon du Mont Blanc.
He's also confirmed that he will be taking part in the 2017 UTMB race at the end of August, where if successful, he could take his fourth win.
