Chamonix Snow Report: 14th February 2004

featured in Snow report Author Ellie Mahoney, Chamonix Editor Updated

As we head into the half-term week the population is increasing noticeably. The town has got an extra buzz and the queues for the lifts an extra 30 minutes! It really depends where you go, when, and why. Either plan to get there very first thing and early, especially if you don't have kids - those who do inevitably will take longer to get ready and organised.

Perhaps head for Le Tour tomorrow, thus avoiding the rush for the Grands Montets, especially as the weekend skiers are still around.

Skiing is of the same as recent, firm, with good coverage.

It is no longer possible to ski back to the town (unless you want rough ride) but nevermind.

The PanoChamCam is now fully operational...we have some great images now available on the site webcams index. We have a few more on their way....

We'll keep you updated - sign up for the Dump Alert! We only let you know about significant falls and you can unsubscribe at any time.
